The CHSO Twenty-Fifth Anniversary season gets underway with a majestic celebration of the GREATEST icons of the Classical period! Mozart’s valedictory Magic Flute Overture and his Concerto for Flute & Harp featuring the elegant playing of our longtime Principal Flautist Phyllis Aronson and Harpist Szu-Ning Tai opens the Gala Opening Night, paired with German Romantic Johannes Brahms’ homage to Papa Joseph Haydn. The program culminates in a third-time heroic performance of one of the most beloved Symphonies of all time – The Fifth Symphony of the “Prometheus” – Ludwig van Beethoven! An Anniversary Season Opener burnished in Silver, and garnished with Gold!
